A Perfect Place for Imperfect People
This is what we're about. First Congregational Church is not a group of perfect people. We have not arrived. We do not think we are better than others or that we're super-spiritual or that we have all the answers.
Unfortunately, there are times when people feel condemned or looked down on by churches. That is not our heart. We recognize that each and every one of us is imperfect. We have faults, failures, and problems. But we also recognize that Jesus Christ has provided a way for imperfect people to be brought back into relationship with God and with each other. This is what we preach and what we celebrate. We don't go to church because we are good enough, we go to church because we aren't good enough and we need the grace and love that God offers through His Word and His people. Everyone who comes to Jesus through faith is welcomed - regardless of your background, your family name, your standing in society, your race, your education, your wealth, your abilities, or anything else. We invite you to join with us - a group of imperfect people - as we celebrate our perfect Savior and his perfect love. Come and experience real grace and true welcome.
